Guest Speaker for Charles Telfair Education
It was a privilege for our CEO, Marina Ythier Jacobsz, to be the guest of honor at the induction of the 2024-2025 batch of new students at Charles Telfair Education. In a fun speech filled with anecdotes, Marina shared valuable tips on what employers look for and the skills young people should reinforce during their time here. Drawing from Maluti Communications’ role during the Wakashio crisis, Marina emphasized the importance of:
1. Developing teamwork and leadership skills.
2. Finding mentors.
3. Strengthening their communication skills, including mastering both French and English, as well as developing their understanding of non-verbal and persuasive communication.
4. Being watchful of their social media presence.
5. Striving for a university/life balance to find happiness and avoid burnout.
We are confident that these insights, delivered with Marina’s unique touch, will benefit the new students in their academic and professional journeys. And we hope to see some of them among the Maluti team one day.
